My time at the Long Island City Partnership included many outlets for my graphic design skills. Below is a sample of a neighborhood marketing campaign - meant to combat a saying used to sell real estate in Long Island City: "5 minutes to Manhattan". I sought to emphasize the identity the neighborhood and its individuality through cheeky casual tone. Partnered with this campaign was a proposal for sanitation wraps to be utilized with the ongoing containerization efforts being taken by New York City Department of Sanitation. These wraps serve as placemaking identifiers for the corridors they were cited to be placed upon. Additional flyers designed as needed.
Celebrating a life acheivement of mine - traveling the 50 States - I decided to comemorate the feat by designing a social media post that displayed the travel methods, facts I had learned, places I had seen, and people I have met through a distorted map of the United States - purposefully boxy to adjust to Instagram cropping while not compromising fluidity or aesthetic.
Created for a field study class in summer 2025, I displayed my observations visually through illustrating a digital journal compiling my photography and illustrations.
My time at North Brooklyn Parks Alliance as well as my love for my neighborhood of Astoria, Queens, has deeply involved me in the missio for expanded public space through the rethinking of how the street can serve a community. Below are graphics i designed for various events and advocacy efforts to pedestrianize a variety of spaces in Williamsburg, Greenpoint and Astoria.
